The Angaston Ag Bureau members again produced an eye-catching display, themed, “Always room for neighbours and mates at a garden party” in the Show Hall at the recent 127th Angaston Show on Saturday, 24th February, 2024. The aim is to showcase the diversity of agriculture in the region, while promoting a seasonally relevant and topical theme and the a Agricultural Bureau movement.

The Angaston Ag Bureau is in its 136th year, and members would have been just as active in the formative years of the Angaston Show, as they are today producing the “show strand”, being on the committee and numerous working groups, sponsors, conveners, and entrants in many of the agricultural competitions.

Every year, under the innovation and guidance of Tanya Schutz who develops the annual theme and coordinates the display, Angaston Ag Bureau members rally agricultural produce and bits ‘n’ pieces from the farm, garden, house and combine it into an impressive feature that covers one complete end of the Show Hall.

The hall also hosts the local student, fleece, fruit and vegetable, sowing and needlework, photography/art and cooking competitions.
